The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department awarded Weaver-Bailey the $79 million contract to reconstruct and widen 4.6 miles of Hwy. 67 in Pulaski and Lonoke counties. The project called for widening both northbound and southbound lanes to 3 lanes and required approximately 325,000 square yards of concrete (12” thick) and 66,000 linear feet of barrier wall.

The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department awarded Weaver-Bailey the $14 million roadway improvement project along Alcoa Road. The construction consisted of excavation, embankment, widening and railroad crossings.

The city of Conway, AR awarded Weaver-Bailey the $30 million contract to construct its new Municipal Airport. The design included a 5,500 ft. x 100 ft. runway and a full-length parallel taxiway. Weaver-Bailey was involved in the construction of the Runway, Taxiway, T-Hangars, Corporate Hangars and Terminal Area Development. The plans required 198,000 square yards of concrete pavement and 1.1 million cubic yards of earthwork.

The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department awarded the joint venture of Weaver-Bailey and Manhattan Road & Bridge the $78 million contract to construct Phase III Interchange improvements at I-430/I-630. Weaver-Bailey’s portion of the project required 141,286 square yards of 13” thick concrete and 41,460 linear feet of retaining wall. Additionally, the preparatory items of removal and disposal of existing concrete, earthwork preparation and subgrade. This portion along with Manhattan Road & Bridge work became known as the “Big Rock Interchange.”

The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department awarded Weaver-Bailey the $10 million contract to reconstruct the highway from the Saline Co. Line to Otter Creek Road. This project involved removal of existing bridge structures, shoring for bridge replacement and approximately 3,000 cubic yards of concrete.

The Arkansas Highway Department awarded Weaver-Bailey the $10 million contract to reconstruct and widen 1.354 miles of Hwy. 67 in Pulaski County.  The project consisted of grading, placing aggregate base course, placing ACHM binder and surface courses, placing concrete pavement, minor drainage structures, signs, and erosion control measures.

Weaver-Bailey acted as a subcontractor on a $4.5 million project awarded by the Arkansas Highway Department to install over 6,000 linear ft. of noise barrier wall in North Little Rock along 35th and 36th streets.

Weaver-Bailey, acting as a subcontractor, was awarded a contract to construct a new Caterpillar Motor Grader plant. The contract required over 55,000 sq. yds. of 8″ concrete paving,  4,615 linear ft. of curb and gutter and 720 linear ft. of concrete barrier wall at the new North Little Rock facility.

The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department awarded Weaver-Bailey the $17 million contract to construct Phase I Interchange improvements at I-430/I-630 which consisted of widening the I-40 main line pavement and reconstructing the interchange ramps for 1.83 miles.  This project included over 49,000 sq. yds. of 13″ concrete paving, approximately 31,000 linear ft. of concrete barrier wall and 25,575 linear feet of retaining wall.

The Little Rock National Airport awarded Weaver-Bailey the contract to extend Runway 18. This project required 1100’ x 150’ of concrete with four 265’ taxiway extensions. Additionally, two perimeter roads and various drainage upgrades were constructed.

The Little Rock National Airport awarded Weaver-Bailey the contract to expand the general aviation ramp for Supermarine. This project included installation of reinforced concrete box culverts and extensive drainage improvements. It also required both asphalt and concrete paving.
